Kayba Operations · real operational logic

Evidence instead of
polished promises.

These examples come from Kayba's own product and operations processes. They are not invented customer success stories or a guarantee that every third-party system error follows the same course.

01

Connection stability

A temporary maintenance-platform error does not immediately become a customer outage

Starting point

An already onboarded website temporarily returns no usable response to a technical maintenance-platform query.

Controlled decision

Kayba checks again after 30 seconds, two minutes and five minutes. Before the confirmed threshold, the neutral status reads “Connection is being rechecked”. Completed onboarding is not downgraded.

Auditable evidence
  • HTTP status and Content-Type
  • Response hash and error category
  • Attempt number and timestamp
  • P1/P2 notification only for a persistent error
Result

Brief third-party system disruptions are treated as such; a persistent error still remains visible and can be escalated.

02

Backup governance

A cleanup decision protects the latest verified recovery point

Starting point

Several verified backups cover the same period and older copies need to be removed in a controlled way.

Controlled decision

The operator selects specific backups, documents the reason and confirms the decision. The latest verified backup remains technically protected. The selection can be changed before execution; after confirmed deletion it is shown as immutable.

Auditable evidence
  • Backup ID, timestamp and size
  • Integrity status
  • Operator and reason
  • planned and actual execution time
Result

Storage cleanup is not inferred from a blanket age rule or a UI display, but follows a traceable, locked workflow.

03

Secure support

Attachments are checked before release and remain linked to their ticket

Starting point

A customer adds screenshots or a PDF to a support request. Multiple files must arrive together without a later selection replacing the first one.

Controlled decision

Up to five files are added cumulatively, validated on the server, recorded with SHA-256 and scanned by ClamAV. Harmful files or files without a conclusive scan stay in quarantine; Operations provides only authorized preview and download.

Auditable evidence
  • Original filename, type and size
  • SHA-256 hash
  • Malware scan result and engine
  • Ticket, customer, contract and website references
Result

Convenience and security boundaries remain separate: a browser preview replaces neither malware scanning nor access control.

Assessment

Verifiable, but not absolute.

The evidence describes implemented control principles. Availability of hosting, the maintenance platform, email, Stripe and other third-party infrastructure is not covered by an absolute Kayba guarantee.
